The Georgian Government intends to send humanitarian aid and rescuers to Haiti, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said to journalists.
According to the deputy minister, talks with the French embassy in Georgia to organize charter flight which will deliver Georgia's aid to Haiti, are underway.
Kalandadze said 40 tons of humanitarian aid is available and 10 rescuers who are ready to go to the island at any moment, have been mobilized.
Over 100,000 people died as a result of the earthquake in Haiti.
