Azerbaijan submits investigation materials on 17 corruption crimes to court

The investigation into 17 criminal cases on corruption has been completed at the Department on Combating Corruption. The investigation materials have been submitted to court, First Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov told journalists.

The investigation into 17 criminal cases on corruption has been completed at the Department on Combating Corruption. The investigation materials have been submitted to court, First Deputy Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov told journalists.

He said the department is investigating 75 cases.

A department hotline operates and individuals can contact the hotline to report corruption.

The hotline received 968 calls, Usubov said. They have been investigated and the appropriate decisions have been taken on them.

An enlarged meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee was held under the chairmanship of Presidential Administration head Ramiz Mehdiyev on Jan. 27 in accordance with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's order.

The fight against corruption in Azerbaijan has been intensified.
