Kazakh Interior Ministry does not see correlation between Border Patrol suicides

Two suicides in the Kazakh KNB's Border Patrol are not related to each other, official representative of Kazakh Interior Ministry Nurdilda Oraz said at a briefing on Wednesday.

"These are both isolated incidents Therefore, we will consider them separately," Oraz said.

He said today the Interior Ministry is investigating the death of the deputy chief of the Chundzhin frontier post border unit of the Regional Shygys Department of the Kazakh National Security Committee's Border Patrol Service captain Captain Murat Kadralinov.

"At the moment, we are investigating the situation, a number of court experts were appointed, and a procedural decision will be taken afterwards," Oraz said.

Earlier it was reported that captain Murat Kadralinov committed suicide due to a family quarrel. Another case of suicide took place in Almaty on January 31, 2013. Head of the Border Patrol Academy of Kazakh National Security Committee, major general Talgat Esetov was found in his office with no signs of life with a gunshot wound to the head.
