Azerbaijan, Baku, Mar. 9 /Trend, F. Milad/
The European Union is planning to expand its sanctions against Iran over what it calls human rights violations in the country.
E-U diplomats have said the new measures will be imposed in the coming week.
The move follows the release of a UN report accusing Iran of rights violations.
Tehran has dismissed the report, calling it biased and undocumented.
Iran's foreign ministry spokesman has said the document is just a repetition of Western allegations against Tehran.
Ramin Mehmanparast said Iran is committed to respecting people's fundamental rights and dignity based on the Constitution and the teachings of Islam.
