The UN Security Council met Thursday with international envoy Kofi Annan, who warned that Syria is heading into an "all out civil war" if the current fighting were to continue, dpa reported.
The discussion was held behind closed doors following Annan's open address to the UN General Assembly, in which he confirmed that his six-point plan to end the conflict has not been implemented, including the April 12 ceasefire.
Arab League Nabil al-Arabi also joined Annan in the discussion in the council.
