BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Orkhan Zeynalov visited the cities of Beijing and Yangzhang (China) on September 24-26, Trend reports via Energy Ministry.
During the visit, the delegation participated in the 2nd meeting of the working group created between the Ministry of Energy and "China Energy Engineering Group Co.Ltd".
Meetings were also held with representatives from Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co. Ltd., TBEA Co. Ltd., and China Datang Corporation Ltd.
The delegation included Elmir Musayev, Director of SOCAR Green.
Discussions focused on energy corridors initiated by Azerbaijan, particularly the significance of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe green energy corridor for large-scale renewable energy exports. The potential for collaboration in renewable energy, energy storage systems, grid enhancement, green energy exports, offshore wind energy, and HVDC supplies was explored, alongside an exchange of views on modern practices.
Chinese companies expressed interest in participating in the significant renewable energy potential in Azerbaijan, and investment opportunities for building renewable energy stations in the country were evaluated.
