Iran's IMIDRO unveils amount of funds to be saved via domestic production

Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and its subsidiaries will save a total of $681 million through domestic production in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Advisor to the chairman of IMIDRO, Hassan Younesian said, Trend reports citing the organization.

Younesian noted that 13 mining companies have announced their readiness in this regard.

The official added that it was announced that Khouzestan Steel Company will save $195 million, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company – $177 million, Mobarakeh Steel Company – $152 million, and the National Iranian Copper Industries Company – $80 million through domestic production.

“In addition, it is estimated that Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company will save $27 million, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – $26 million, Hormozgan Steel Company – $8 million, Esfahan Steel Company – $5 million, National Iranian Steel Company – $4.9 million, Iran Alumina Company – $3 million, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – $2 million, Khorasan Steel Company – $847,000 and the Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO) – $500,000 through domestic production,” he said.
