By the end of 2018, the price of gasoline in Uzbekistan may rise by about 5 percent, Uzbek media reported referring to a draft government decree, which was published on social networks.
The retail price of one liter of AI-80 gasoline will be 4,000 soums (currently – 3,800 soums), AI-91 – 4,500 soums (4,300 soums), diesel fuel – 4,800 soums, and ECO diesel fuel – 4,900 soums.
The government of Uzbekistan also plans to allocate 66,700 soums of compensation to certain categories of citizens for the purchase of gasoline every month.
The authenticity of this document has yet to be confirmed by Uzbek officials though.
The last time the price of gasoline was increased by 35.7 percent on Nov. 15, 2017.
