Iran’s East Oil & Gas Production Company discloses extraction data

The East Oil & Gas Production Company (EOGPC) in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) extracts 65 million cubic meters of gas per day, Executive Director of the company Abolhassan Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Mohammadi noted that the company has extracted a total of 9.9 billion cubic meters of gas since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020).

Mohammadi added that this is an increase of 4 percent compared to the extraction plan.

According to the him, the East Oil & Gas Production Company plays a major role in supplying gas as the only natural gas producer in northern and northeastern Iran.

The director stressed that 1.85 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into Iran's Shourijeh D gas storage facility. This is an increase of 28 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

"At present, daily 17.2 million cubic meters of gas is taken from this gas storage facility," he said.

The East Oil and Gas Production Company is operating under the Central Oil Fields Company. The company works in Khangiran and Gunbadli gas fields.

About 1.72 billion cubic meters of gas was taken from the Shourijeh D storage facility in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020). At present, the annual gas storage potential of this storage facility is about 2.4 billion cubic meters. According to the development program of the Iranian Oil Ministry, its capacity can be increased to 4.8 billion cubic meters.
