BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 6
By Fidan Babayeva – Trend:
The information has been disseminated this week that the car prices did not increase in the Azerbaijani domestic market over the past month, Azerbaijani expert in property issues Ramil Osmanli told Trend.
"All public attention has been focused on the war due to the martial law in the country since late September, as a result of which transactions related to the purchase and sale have sharply decreased in the car market," Osmanli said.
The expert stressed that a relative decrease in car prices worth more than 70,000-80,000 manat ($41,176-47,058) within 2-3 percent was observed compared to the previous trends.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies said that despite the restrictions on passenger transportation during the pandemic, cargoes are regularly transported in Azerbaijan, as well as along the North-South Transport Corridor.
"After the completion of the planned projects and a further increase in the volume of cargo transportation along the North-South Transport Corridor, it is not excluded that some countries, including the countries of Central and Southeast Asia, will join it," the ministry said.
One of the important events this week is technical director of Thales International Azerbaijan Michael Malinovsky’s statement on the support for all railway projects in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
"Thales International ensures the safety of the movement of Azerbaijani trains," Malinovsky said.
Moreover, Thales may introduce new European systems in Azerbaijan. This is an integrated approach. It is necessary to take into account the technologies and territories for the introduction of new systems.
If, for example, we take into account that trains that are currently equipped with the old system will move from the center of Azerbaijan to the territory with the modern railways, then it is necessary to re-equip the old system to the European one.
The volume of export of Azerbaijani goods changed in different directions in November 2020 through the Single Window export support center, the Export Review of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication said.
According to the center, 66.8 percent of cargo transportation through the Single Window system accounted for transportation by planes, which is 3.6 percent more than in the previous month.
Cargo transportation by vehicles through the Single Window system reached 28.8 percent, which is by four percent less compared to the previous month.
