Uzbekistan lowers diesel fuel price

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 19. Uzbekistan's Uzbekneftegaz oil and gas company reduced diesel fuel price by 15 percent, Trend reports.

At the extended video conference held under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan's president Shavkat Mirziyoyev on February 12, Uzbekneftegaz JSC was instructed to reduce the price of diesel fuel by 15 percent, which is put up for exchange trading.

In order to provide economic and financial support to those manufacturing agricultural products by the JSC the prices for diesel fuel produced by compounding of synthetic component of diesel fuel at Bukhara oil refinery have been reduced by 15 percent compared to the prices for diesel fuel-ECO.

Uzbekneftegaz offered EURO-5 SSDF diesel fuel at a reduced price of 11.6 million soums ($939) per ton from all warehouses of oil depots owned by the JSC on February 19.

Earlier, Uzbekneftegaz announced an increase in the price of RON-80 gasoline at its gas stations from January 1, 2024.

"The price of RON-80 grade gasoline at gas stations subordinated to Uzbekneftegaz and owned by UNG Petro is set at 6,800 soums [$0.55] per liter from January 1, 2024," the company said.
