In July 2019, 62 companies in the IT sector were registered in Turkey, which is 6.75 percent more compared to the same month of 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
Some 56 construction companies were registered in Turkey in July 2019, which is 6.1 percent more compared to July 2018.
“In July 2019, 28 consulting services companies were also registered in Turkey, which is 3.05 percent more compared to the same month of 2018,” said the report.
Seventeen hotels (an increase of 1.85 percent) and 14 energy companies (an increase of 1.53 percent) were registered in Turkey in July 2019 compared to July 2018.
The biggest number of closed companies in Turkey accounted for the energy sector in July 2019.
According to the report, 255 energy companies closed in Turkey, which is 18.39 percent more than in July 2018. Some 136 construction companies also closed in Turkey in July 2019, which is 9.81 percent more than in July 2018.
In July 2019, eight branches of banks opened and 32 branches of banks closed in Turkey. “In general, 49 bank branches opened and 166 branches closed in Turkey in January-July 2019,” the report said.
