The Meteorological Forum of the Turkic World took place in Ankara city on February 19, Trend reports.
The forum was attended by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay.
At the forum dedicated to the 84th anniversary of the establishment of the Main Directorate of Meteorology of Turkey, issues of expanding the joint activities of meteorological institutions of the Turkic-speaking countries on international platforms were discussed.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey Bekir Pakdemir, officials of the relevant structures of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Northern Cyprus of Turkey spoke first at the event.
Then the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov spoke.
An address by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was read at the forum.
Further, the Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay spoke.
Following the forum, it was decided to create a Meteorological Association of the Turkic World.
