Surgical team of the Central Hospital of Oil Workers for the first time conducted on operation on transplantation in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
Organ of donor was transplanted to man in Nakhchivan for the first time. At the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and funded by SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic), within the next charity campaign, which began on Dec. 23 in Nakhchivan, the doctors of the Central Hospital of Oil Workers have transplanted kidney to inhabitant of the Autonomous Republic Bulud Jabbarov suffering from renal failure. The operation was successful, the patient's condition, transferred to the intensive care unit, is satisfactory.
The operation was conducted in Nakhchivan medical-diagnostic center by medical teams of 20 people led by physician Mirjalal Kazymi, the head of the center of transplantation of human organs and tissues of the Central Hospital of Oil Workers, head of press service of the social development department of SOCAR Amrah Faganoglu told Trend. The operation on the donor was headed by the doctor of the Center Eldar Ahmedov.
An operation on another resident of Nakhchivan, suffering from renal failure, will be conducted on Dec. 24. Donors of patients - 18-year-old Bulud Jabbarov and 35-year-old Habib Jafarov are their parents. The chief physician of Central Hospital of Oil Workers, PhD Habib Yuzbashov said that such operations are conducted in Nakhchivan for the first time.
Relatives of both patients expressed gratitude to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and SOCAR for their care and attention.
