The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus stood at $145.2 million in January-November 2018, which is by 28.5 percent more compared to the same period of 2017, Trend reports citing UzDaily.uz.
The export from Belarus to Uzbekistan went up by 30.1 percent during the reporting period, whereas the import to Belarus from Uzbekistan made up $38.8 million, which is by 24.4 percent more in comparison with the same period of 2017, according to the data from Belarusian embassy in Tashkent.
The volume of external service trade between Belarus and Uzbekistan reached $32.6 million, rising by 4.2 times. The export of Belarusian services to Uzbekistan has increased by 4.9 times and reached $29.9 million, while the import rose by 65.5 percent and stood at $2.7 million.
The main trade commodities between Uzbekistan and Belarus are gas, oil, pipeline fittings, tractors, as well as versatile food.
Around 23 organizations founded by legal entities and individuals from Belarus have been registered in Uzbekistan, whereas 62 organizations founded by legal entities and individuals from Uzbekistan have been registered in Belarus.
Belarus and Uzbekistan plan to implement about 20 investment projects to expand the bilateral trade turnover.
