BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 17. Overall, 583,000 tons of non-oil products worth $81 million were exported to Qatar through the customs of Iran’s Bushehr Province in the south of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Soleimani, a total of 195 types of non-oil products were exported to Qatar via the province’s customs for the last Iranian year. Among them, the most exported goods in terms of value were agricultural and food products worth $58 million.
The official also added that $17 million worth of tomatoes and $8 million worth of shrimp were exported to Qatar through the province's customs in the last Iranian year.
“Also, mining and related products accounted for 25 percent in value and 70 percent in volume of the non-oil exports to Qatar via the customs of Bushehr Province for the last Iranian year,” he said.
In total, about 27.2 million tons of non-oil products worth $13.2 billion were exported through Bushehr Province’s customs in the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 32 percent in value and 7 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
