About 30 percent of the rendered services accounted for transport in Azerbaijan’s balance of services from January through November 2020, Trend reports on Dec. 16 with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
About 35 percent of the turnover of mutual services accounted for operations on transport services worth $2.1 billion. Some 55.1 percent of that volume is associated with the use of Azerbaijan's transport services by non-residents.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the cost of transport services which are rendered by residents of Azerbaijan to non-residents is estimated at $1.2 billion while the cost of services which are rendered by non-residents to Azerbaijani residents is $900 million.
During the reporting period, the export of transport services in the non-oil sector increased by 31.7 percent in annual terms, while the import of services decreased by 7.9 percent.
As a result, a surplus figure of $200 million was observed from January through November 2020 compared to a deficit indicator at the same amount in the same period of the previous year.
The total volume of services in the economic relations of Azerbaijan with foreign countries from January through November 2020 amounted to $6 billion.
