Uzbekistan to supply almonds to Malaysia

Uzbekistan will begin supplying almonds to Malaysia, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

Delegation of a large commercial and industrial company of Malaysia, Baraka Istithmar organized a trip to the Namangan region during its current visit to Uzbekistan.

The delegation met with the first deputy governor of the region, heads of a number of farms - producers of export-oriented agricultural products, as well as specialists from processing enterprises there.

In the course of business negotiations, the parties entered into an export contract for the supply of Uzbek almonds to the Malaysian trading network under the Baraka Istithmar brand. The total amount of the contract was $2 million.

This is the second visit of a foreign importer, organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia. During the first stay of the delegation in Uzbekistan, real results were achieved on the realization of the export of dried fruits from Khorezm region to Malaysia.

The domestic products that entered the Southeast Asian market were in high demand due to their taste and environmental qualities.
