Iran's positive trade balance exceeds $1B

Iran's trade balance was positive during three months (March 21 – June 21) of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) and reached $1.21 billion, Trend reports referring to the report of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.

According to the report, excluding crude oil, Iran exported goods worth $11.5 billion and imported goods worth more than $10 billion.

In the reported period, Iran exported products worth $2.6 billion to China, products worth $2.4 billion to Iraq, products worth $2.2 billion to Turkey, products worth $925 million to the United Arab Emirates and products worth $535 million to Afghanistan.

The export of Iranian goods to Turkey, excluding crude oil, has increased fivefold compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

In terms of value, the export of Iranian goods to the UAE dropped by 56 percent and to Afghanistan by 32 percent.
