Entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malta, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and the UK purchased in foreign currency diesel fuel, aviation and lighting kerosene, liquefied gas, ESO-93 gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel manufactured at the Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries during trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
In addition, entrepreneurs from Turkey purchased urea in foreign currency.
Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAR, Turkey, Malta, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan also bought dyed terry products, cotton yarn and fabric, and handmade carpets using foreign currency.
The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $56 million.
Transactions in Turkmen manats were also made on the exchange. Entrepreneurs from Scotland, the UAE, the Virgin Islands, and Turkey purchased cotton yarn.
Saraja wool – became the subject of transactions of local entrepreneurs.
The amount of the above-mentioned transactions amounted to more than 29.3 million manat ($8.4 million).
For the domestic market, local businessmen purchased motor and base oils manufactured at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, high-density polyethylene and polypropylene, hand-made carpets and cotton fiber for a total amount of over 193.1 million manat ($55.2 million).
In total, 262 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.
