Tehran, Iran, September 20
By Mehdi Sepahvand -- Trend:
The Islamic Republic of Iran hopes that when the IAEA chief Yukiya Amano leaves Iran, he will communicate a good impression of his visit, an Iranian MP said.
After he returned from his previous trip to Iran, Amano spoke words that were not so friendly toward Iran, member of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mohammad Hassan Asafari told Trend September 20.
Asafari hoped that when he returns from Tehran this time, the IAEA chief will speak the truth rather than say words that serve the interests of the Western side of the Iranian nuclear debate.
Amano arrived in Iran on September 20 to hold talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi.
Amano had earlier the day set a condition for attending a special committee session to study the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program.
He has said that the meeting should be held without the presence of any TV cameras.
The International Atomic Energy Agency tries to publish impartial reports based on realities on Iran's nuclear program, Amano said in a meeting in Tehran with Rouhani.
