An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the Tuten region, Mush province in the east of Turkey at night, Anadolu reported today.
No causalities or damage were reported.

The strongest fluctuations in the Earth's crust in this country were recorded in 1999 in the Marmara Sea. The magnitude of tremors then was 7.4; about 18,000 people died.
