A Eurovision-2012 finalist's press conference has been held in Baku Crystal Hall press center. The UK representative Engelbert Humperdinck will perform "Love Will Set You Free".
"In my romantic song I have tried to bring the best musical moments of the lyric genre," he told media today. "These songs can live for a long time. This song has become one of the best in my repertoire."
The legendary singer said he has many friends in Russia and one is Philipp Kirkorov.
"Philipp told me that he will ask his fans to vote for me at Eurovision song contest," he said.
Humperdinck also spoke about his friendship with the King of Rock 'n' Roll Elvis Presley. He showed a gift from him -- a golden cross -- which he always carries.
Humperdinck also shared his impressions about Eurovision-2012 Azerbaijani participant Sabina Babayeva.
"I met with Sabina Babayeva and she impressed me greatly," he said.
"This is a charismatic, talented and good-natured person. She is a singer with great vocal abilities."
Humperdinck is known as the "King of Romance" in Great Britain. Over his long creative life Humperdinck has received many awards, including 68 "gold" disks, 18 "platinum" albums and several "Grammy" awards. In October 2010 the singer was awarded with the prestigious award in Hollywood "Musical Legend", awarded by the U.S Society of Young
Musicians to the most prominent representatives of world music. Humperdinck has repeatedly acted in films.
