BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. Fumio Kishida, Japanese Premier is gearing up to spill the beans on an economic aid package for Central Asian countries, and this package includes a game-changing trade route across the Caspian Sea that will bridge the gap between the region and Europe, Trend reports via the Japan Times.

During his August 9–12 tour of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia, the prime minister will meet with the heads of state from five Central Asian nations in Kazakhstan to unveil the proposal.

The initiative aims to kill two birds with one stone by strengthening Japan's ties with Central Asia and tipping the scales against Russia's traditional influence in the region. Japan hopes the new export route will be a game-changer for Central Asian countries, giving them a leg up in achieving economic independence.

The plan also includes measures to promote economic decarbonization and incorporates technology and loans from Japanese companies for projects like natural gas processing.
