BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 28. The current loan portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) projects in Kyrgyzstan was estimated at 250 million euros as of November 30, 2024, Trend reports.
The EBRD pointed out that the portfolio was set up for rolling
out 84 active projects.
Out of these projects, most of the funding, 74 percent, or 185
million euros, was funneled into sustainable infrastructure.
Additionally, 13 percent, or 33 million euros, was allocated to the corporate sector, and the remaining 13 percent, or 32 million euros, was designated for the financial institutions.
In total, the EBRD's cumulative investments in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1.029 billion euros across 256 projects as of November 30, 2024.
The share of the private sector in the entire investment portfolio of the bank in Kyrgyzstan was 26 percent.
