Strong winds are forecasted in Baku, Umayra Tagiyeva, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources national hydro metrology department acting director said to Trend on Monday.
Speed of the southwest wind will hit 15-20 meters a second, while reaching 25-28 meters a second in certain parts of Absheron peninsula and Baku the wind, Tagiyeva says.
"The temperature will increase to 14-15 degrees above zero in Baku and on Absheron peninsula in the afternoon. The southwest wind is forecasted to change to strong north wind Feb. 16 in the evening hours and as a result, temperature will decrease starting from Feb. 17," Tagiyeva said.
Meanwhile, no rains are expected in the regions of the country in the next few days. Temperature will be 0-3 degrees at night and 10-15 degrees in the afternoon in the central regions. In mountainous regions the temperature is expected to be from 2 degrees below 0 to 2 degrees at night and 6-10 degrees above zero in the afternoon.
