Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources fined legal and physical entities in the amount of 1.619.3 million in January 2010, Ministry told Trend .
Amount of fine for enviromental damage was 74,900 manat.
During this period, the fines violation of ecological legislation on effective use of water resources during this period amounted to 4,300 manat.
The fines for air pollution amounted to 23,600 manat. The fines for land pollution amounted to 7,400 manat, with 825 manats already paid off.
Fines for protection of flora made up 1,583,700 manat. Fines for protection of fauna made up 4,000 manat and for protection of water basin's bio-resources - 3,800 manat.
