Socio-Ecological Center "Ecosphere" has developed a program for children and youth in 2010 within the Year of Ecology in Azerbaijan and working in the field of public environmental movement for 10 years.
Start of the program is timed to April 22 - International Day of the Earth, the Centre head Firuza Sultanzade told Trend. The program envisages the participation of certain groups of children and school groups, as well as the student youth to the study, discussion and evaluation of environmental programs and projects in Azerbaijan to the exchange of information, as well as a number of independent events and activity, she said.
Socio-Ecological Center "Ecosphere", jointly with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Ecological Department, Clean City JSC and the Aarhus public environmental information center establish children and young people's independent environmental award "Echoes" for this program.
The most important topics and events for 2010 presented among the awards will be chosen to preserve and contribute to healthy environmental future of the country in terms of children and young audiences, she said.
