Intensive rainfall in the Azerbaijan territory has caused floods in most of the rivers of the country, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said.

Intensive rainfall in the Azerbaijan territory has caused floods in most of the rivers of the country, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said.

The high water in the lower reaches of the Kur River caused increase of water level in Zardab, Sabirabad, Shirvan, Salyan, Saatli more than a meter.

In the rivers of the Guba-Khachmaz region water level is 150-266 percent, Balakan-Sheki region - 90-170 percent, Lankaran-Astara region 120-145 percent of ten-day norm.

In the rivers of the Lesser Caucasus high water is below the norm, and amounts to 60-70 per cent of ten-day norm.
