Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili visited the newly opened hotel Solomon 1805 in Sighnagi. The modern hotel was built by businessman Temur Chkonia.
According to the president, the construction of such infrastructure in Sighnagi will contribute to tourism development and will bring additional income to the population.
"Four years ago, I said that a revival begins in Sighnagi, and now we do not remember the fact that there once was a small, featureless town," Saakashvili said.
According to him, today, when the price for fuel and basic necessities are growing dramatically in the world, agricultural development and employment of people is very important so that they could buy expensive products.
"Here people believe in change for the reason that almost every family has at least one employed person. The food and fuel price-hike is painful, but the lack of peoples' prospects was too painful," Saakashvili said.
