Youth organization at the UNS Theater held an exhibition-auction for benefit of children from orphanages, Ulviyya Mahmudova, an organizer of the event told Trend.
The exhibition demonstrated the works by children from 4 orphanages located in Baku and outskirts, in particular, Saray, Mashtaga, Zabrat, Ahmedlli, and one more theater circle of children suffering from Down disease.
The show displayed around 120 pictures by 20 children. All pictures were put for sale, while 40 were sold from the auction, Mahmudova said. As a result of the action, it was possible to collect approximately $10,000, which will be further distributed among orphanages and theater circles, the organizer announced. The funds will be spent on provision of the orphanages and theater circles with the necessary.
Mahmudova noted that the assistance by Fatima Bakhshiyeva, as well as all members of the organization. She particularly stressed the services of the leadership of Giz Galasi gallery, who rendered the organization support t the event.
