Japan’s Hitachi Construction Machinery, a global construction and mining equipment manufacturing company, has established a trade and service company in Kazakhstan to further expand its business in the markets of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, Kazakh media reported.

The opening ceremony of the new company Eurasian Machinery LLP was held in Astana.

Hitachi supplied its first equipment to Kazakhstan in 2004 and since then the company has been a leader in the supply of hydraulic excavators and dump trucks for the mining and construction industries to the Kazakh market.

"We traditionally continue to sell our equipment through dealerships. But this time we decided to create a new company Eurasian Machinery, which will be headquartered in Almaty,” said Tatsuro Ishizuka, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hitachi Construction Machinery, adding that the company’s goal is to ensure maximum equipment performance for its customers.

Thus, thanks to the creation of the new company, Kazakhstan will become a hub for the supply of construction equipment to the markets of Central Asia.

"Hitachi decided to invest in the Central Asian market through Kazakhstan. Eurasian Machinery is a unique company in which the manufacturer is directly involved. It will represent Hitachi Construction Machinery in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan," the co-founder and CEO of Eurasian Machinery Mehmet Kemal Cetinelli said.

Hitachi Construction Machinery manufactures excavators, loaders, recycle machines, compaction equipment, dump trucks, etc. The company has over 100 subsidiaries and affiliates around the world. Its consolidated revenue for 2017 was approximately $9 billion.
