BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 6

By Fidan Babayeva – Trend:

Azerbaijani potential buyers will discuss the opportunities of establishing mutually-beneficial partnership with entrepreneurs of the Russian Tyumen region, Chairman of the Nextors Consult consulting company Sergei Polukhin said, the Trade Representative Office of Russia in Azerbaijan told Trend.

Polukhin made the speech at the first online business-mission of the Export Support Center of the Fund ‘Investment Agency of the Tyumen Region’ together with the Nextors Consult with the participation of Azerbaijani partners.

The chairman said that the experts of a domestic market of Azerbaijan are ready to share their views with participants of the business-mission, and the potential buyers are ready to discuss the opportunities of building mutually-beneficial partnership.

“This format will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs of the Tyumen region to hold targeted negotiations in a video-conference format with potential partners who have expressed interest in cooperation,'' Polukhin emphasized.

“Of course, we feel certain difficulties and limitations this year. But despite this, the mutual trade between Russia and Azerbaijan remains at the level of 2019, which cannot be said about the trade turnover of Azerbaijan with a number of other countries,” said Ruslan Mirsayapov, Trade Representative of Russia in Azerbaijan.

According to the representative office, on October 2, entrepreneurs of the Tyumen region held an online conference in B2B format. During the conference, enterprises of the Tyumen region presented their export potential to Azerbaijani partners, and also discussed more specific conditions for cooperation in separate and virtual session rooms.

The first online business-mission with the participation of Azerbaijani partners began on October 1 and lasted for two days. On October 1, Trade Representative of Russia in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayapov, Director of the Department of Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region Leonid Ostroumov, Deputy Executive Director of the Caspian Energy Club and Caspian Energy Group Eldar Maksumov, Deputy Director of ASK Business Consulting Agil Babaev addressed the Tyumen and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs.

Such events are among the tools that the Export Support Center uses to bring and promote regional companies to foreign markets. In this regard, the center adapted the services for organizing and conducting business missions to the format of an online conference in response to the difficulties caused by the epidemiological situation.
