ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 6. March 2024 saw approximately 74,900 foreign money transfer operations to Kazakhstan, totaling 20 billion tenge (or $44.9 million), Trend reports.
In comparison to February 2024 (71,900 transactions worth 19.1 billion tenge, or approximately $42.8 million), the number of money transfers received grew by 4.2 percent, while the volume of transactions declined by 4.9 percent, according to data from the Central Bank of Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, the total volume of money transfers through international money transfer systems (IMTS) in Kazakhstan amounted to 196,200 transactions worth 61.5 billion tenge (about $138 million) in March 2024.
Compared to February 2024 (187,600 transactions worth 60.3 billion tenge, or $135 million), there has been a 4.6 percent increase in the number of transfers and a 2 percent increase in the volume of transactions.
