BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 3. The revenues of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line Group (IRISL) amounted to more than $1.48 billion for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Trend reports citing the group’s website.

According to the report, the IRISL Group has shipped 719,213 TEU containers and earned $1.19 billion over the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 162 percent in revenues and 69 percent in number of containers compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021).

Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the IRISL Group had shipped a total of 425,573 TEU containers and earned $457 million.

In addition, the IRISL Group earned $290 million from the shipment of 11 million tons of bulk cargo last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, in the preceding Iranian year, the IRISL Group earned $163 million from the shipment of 7.8 million tons of bulk cargo. This means that the group's revenues increased by 23 percent and the volume of transported cargo by 41 percent.

Within the last Iranian year, the rent for each TEU container shipment was $1,662, while for each ton of bulk cargo shipment was $26.
