Next Porsche Cayenne to look less like SUV

(autoinsidernews) - The next-generation Porsche Cayenne SUV is likely to get a sleeker shape when it arrives for the 2010 model year, according to Edmunds. The Cayenne has been an amazing success for Porsche, but the automaker is planning drastic changes as the market continues to shift away from SUVs. The new crossover is expected to feature a less upright windshield, a lower roofline, blacked-out B- and C-pillars, and lighter-looking, sloping D-pillars. Overall, the vehicle is likely to look more like an Infinitis FX models than traditional SUVs, reports Trend.

While even Porsche doesnt know what the 2010 Cayenne will look like, Edmunds produced a few sketches that illustrate what the model may look like. After the Panamera arrives in 2009, the Cayenne will no longer be the only Porsche for those looking for something more practical than a 911. And Porsche needs to make sure that there is a marketable advantage to the Cayenne.
