Turkmen and Afghan entrepreneurs ink major contract deals

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 8. Entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan and Afghanistan signed 10 contracts and 2 commercial memoranda, Trend reports.

Official data indicates that Turkmenistan's delegation of entrepreneurs signed the documents during their visit to the Afghan province of Herat.

The agreements, which amount to more than $200 million, relate to the construction sector and include the supply of fittings, paint, marble, and food materials.

The signing ceremony was attended by Turkmenistan's Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Nokerguly Atagulyev, and Afghanistan's Interim Minister of Industry and Trade Nooruddin Azizi.

Meanwhile, recently, the Governor of the Afghan province of Herat Noor Ahmad Islamjar, and the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Nokerguly Atagulyev discussed issues of expanding trade relations.

During the visit, the delegation from Turkmenistan visited marble processing plants in the industrial zone of Herat province, where they became acquainted with the production of local enterprises.
