BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 8. Kyrgyzstan has drastically decreased the imports of passenger cars from Russia from January through February 2024, Trend reports.
Russia supplied 30 cars to Kyrgyzstan during this reporting period, down 58 times from January-February 2023's 1,742 cars.
Imports dropped 19 times to $979,856 from $19.273 million in the corresponding months of 2023.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 27,787 passenger cars from January through February 2024, which is 2.3 times more than in the same months of 2023 (12,001 cars). The value of the imports amounted to $477.263 million, increasing by 2.4 times compared to $196.473 million in January-February 2023.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $2.255 billion in the first two months of 2024, which is 28.3 percent more than in the same period in 2023 ($1.758 billion).
Exports totaled $307.5 million, increasing by 18.4 percent compared to January–February 2023 ($259.726 million).
