BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 8. The State Tax Service under the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan has collected tax and insurance contributions totaling 88.575 billion soms ($1 billion) from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
According to the service, the established plan was exceeded by 3.8 billion soms ($42.906 million). Comparing the figures for January–April 2023, there was an increase of 15.061 billion soms ($170.055 million).
Specifically, 64.801 billion soms ($731.674 million) were collected in taxes and payments, surpassing the plan by 298 million soms ($3.364 million). Compared to the same four-month period in 2023, collections increased by 11 billion soms ($124.202 million).
The amount of collected insurance contributions reached 23.774 billion soms ($268.434 million), exceeding the plan by 3.5 billion soms ($39.518 million). This is an increase of 4.07 billion soms ($45.954 million) compared to the same period last year.
To note, the tax service collected a total of 249.4 billion soms ($2.821 billion) in taxes, payments, and insurance contributions in 2023, exceeding the plan by 1.2 percent. Compared to 2022, revenue from taxes, payments, and insurance contributions increased by 19 percent.
