ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 8. Turkmenistan's farmers plan to plant 350 hectares of land with potatoes in the current agricultural year in the Danew district of the Lebap region, located in the east of the country, Trend reports.
Official data show that this year, Turkmen farmers expect to harvest 14 tons per hectare of cultivated land in the region, which in total will amount to more than 4,900 tons of potatoes.
This season, the entire Lebap region will plant 1,400 hectares of land, with the goal of harvesting about 19,600 tons of potatoes.
Farmers utilize irrigation methods, practice inter-row processing, and apply a combination of organic and mineral fertilizers to boost crop growth and improve productivity.
