BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. The German Rhenus Group logistics company focuses on improving transport efficiency in Uzbekistan by implementing cutting-edge strategies and technology solutions that adhere to European standards, a source from the company told Trend.

“Our terminals are meticulously designed, constructed, and operated with a focus on achieving exceptional levels of process reliability and occupational safety. We leverage innovative technology and equipment to uphold these standards,” the source said.

According to the source, Rhenus employs modern, high-performance cranes and terminal equipment that not only comply with international safety regulations but also ensure efficient and safe handling processes. OCR (optical character recognition) technology and advanced software play a pivotal role in maintaining a high standard of process reliability.

“Automation is a key component of our strategy to enhance efficiency and gain process reliability. The registration process at terminal entrances and exits is fully automated, mitigating the risk of recording errors,” the source noted.

The source from the company emphasized that high-resolution cameras capture essential details of all vehicles, wagons, and containers, including wagon numbers, vehicle license plates, and dangerous goods numbers. This not only facilitates damage documentation and provides visual evidence of their condition but also stabilizes throughput times and optimizes processes. In this way, Rhenus can further enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan Railways and Rhenus will create a modern multimodal transport and logistics center in the Andijan region.

The modern logistics center will create opportunities for multimodal transportation, container loading and unloading zones, open and closed customs warehouses, as well as handling heavy cargo.
