Georgia, Tbilisi, 4 March / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia/ The leader of the political party 'Future Georgia' Giorgi Lagidze urges the country's administration to decrease the prices of liquefied gas. "The price for a litre of liquefied gas rose from .85 tetris to 1.2 laris" he said.

Lagidze said that liquefied gas is imported to Georgia by Russia's Gazprom and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). But the rise in the price was not at the decision of these companies, but at the decision of the Georgian authorities.

According to Lagidze, the Georgia's administration is interested in increasing gas prices. "The prices for petrol gas should be managed by the commission for oil and gas prices," he said.

If the price is not decreased in the near future, Lagidze will hold a protest demonstration together with drivers.

There are plans to also increase the price of natural gas in the near future, Lagidze said.
