SOCAR opens new gas stations in Azerbaijan

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will commission a new gas station on the Baku-Guba concrete road, a SOCAR source told Trend.
According to the source, construction is nearing completion.
The construction of two stations -- one in the Alat village and one on the Baku-Sumgayit Road -- is also nearing completion, the source said. The stations will open in late 2010.
The company has five gas stations in Azerbaijan.

Rovnag Abdullayev said earlier. In total, SOCAR intends to open 26-30 gas stations in the country. Its investments in gas station construction hit 20 million manat.
Next year Azerbaijan plans to open 10 more gas stations.
SOCAR Petroleum shareholders are: SOCAR (51 percent) and the American A.P. International (49 percent). SOCAR Petroleum was registered on Jan. 21, 2008.
