Natural gas production in Kazakhstan reached 14.6 billion cubic meters in January-March 2019, which is 3.6 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports with reference to energyprom.kz.
As noted, in January-February of this year, 44.3 percent of natural gas production in the liquid and gaseous state accounted for the Atyrau region (4.3 billion cubic meters, compared with January-February last year, the increase was 13.3 percent) 35.3 percent - in the West Kazakhstan region (3.4 billion cubic meters / m, -1.7 percent), 12.1 percent - in the Aktobe region (1.2 billion cubic meters / m, +6 percent).
Moreover, the main natural gas production in the natural state (88.2 percent of the total volume in Kazakhstan) was in the West Kazakhstan region (3.4 billion cubic meters / m, -0.5 percent).
The National Company KazMunayGaz JSC accounts for 28 percent of the total volume of oil and gas condensate produced in Kazakhstan and 16 percent for natural and associated gas.
The national company also provides 95 percent of the transportation of natural gas through main gas pipelines.
