The average monthly nominal wage in Azerbaijan’s Baku city decreased by 6.1 percent from January through February 2021 compared to the same period of 2020 and amounted to 899.7 manat ($529.2), Trend reports on May 5 citing the Baku City Statistics Department.
The average monthly nominal wage in Baku amounted to 901 manat ($530) in January 2021.
The average monthly nominal wage in Baku increased by 6.9 percent and reached 927.2 manat ($545.4) in 2020 compared to 2019.
As a result of comprehensive social reforms carried out on the basis of the relevant instructions of the president of Azerbaijan, the minimum wage in the country increased to 250 manat ($147), which greatly affected the salaries of civil servants, employees of a number of budgetary institutions, enterprises, and organizations, and state oil companies.
