ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 14. The United Nations has unanimously adopted a resolution to hold the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) in Turkmenistan, Trend reports.

The event will take place from August 5 through 8, 2025, at the National Tourist Zone "Avaza" on the Caspian Sea coast.

In connection with this, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, expressing his sincere congratulations and best wishes. The letter emphasized the significance of this decision for strengthening Turkmenistan's position on the international stage.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that 32 landlocked developing countries, home to over 500 million people, face common challenges related to their geographical location, which significantly affects their economic development and complicates their trade connections with the rest of the world.

The LLDC 3 conference in Turkmenistan will serve as an important platform for discussing strategies and measures to address these challenges and deepen international cooperation.
