G8 and G20 cannot cope with today's global challenges, Kazakh President believes.
Nursultan Nazarabaev made such a statement while delivering a lecture on Eurasian integration at the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov on April 28.
"The current global instability is a crisis not only in the economy but also in international law, global politics. Neither G8, nor G20 can resolve them. That is why we launched the idea of G-Global in 2012," Nazarbayev said.
Some 160 countries participate in the G-Global internet platform, according to the president
"This is opinion of not only a group of states, but also of other medium- and small-size countries," he said.
G-Global envisages the fundamental principles of the world in the 21st century - evolution, justice, equality, consensus, global tolerance and trust, global transparency, constructive multi-polarity, the rejection of the revolution and the transition to evolution, Nazarbaev said.
If profound changes happen in international law, foreign policy practice, and methods of interstate relations, the current global challenge will be overcome, the president believes.
"Therefore, our proposal on G-Global is as useful for the world community as never before," he said.
