Finland’s Nurminen Logistics talks increase in transport operations from Europe to Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Finland’s Nurminen Logistics has initiated regular transportation services from Finland and Europe to Kazakhstan in cooperation with Kazakhstan Temir Zholy national company (Kazakhstan Railways), Trend reports via the company.

According to Marjut Linnajärvi, Vice-President of Sales and Rail Operations at Nurminen Logistics, the first consignment departed from Helsinki to Kazakhstan last week. The route will serve the needs of Nordic and Central European customers.

“A great deal of customer interest and fast-growing demand is currently targeted at Kazakhstan. Nurminen’s long-standing Eastern market intelligence and strong partnership with Kazakhstan Railways enable the building of service solutions that provide a competitive edge for customers in Central Asia,” Linnajärvi added.

Starting in December, Kazakhstan Railways will increase departures from Europe to Kazakhstan to three times a week.

Nurminen Logistics and Kazakhstan Railways announced their cooperation in March 2022.
