ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 23. Turkmenistan and China discussed the development of trade and economic cooperation, Trend reports.
These issues were discussed at the third meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Working Group on ensuring the security of economic cooperation facilities, at which the delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiyev.
The two nations' representatives had a detailed exchange of ideas on the current agenda of bilateral ties during the meetings in Beijing.
Simultaneously, it was highlighted that Turkmen-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic cooperation are developing rapidly and consistently in many areas.
They paid special attention to the implementation of the decisions of the previous meeting of the working group, and also identified priorities for further cooperation in this direction.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on topical issues of an international and regional nature, the source notes.
Meanwhile, the development of economic partnership between Turkmenistan and China includes active cooperation in the field of energy, infrastructure projects and trade.
China is an important consumer of Turkmen natural gas, finances and builds infrastructure facilities in Turkmenistan, and both countries continue to strengthen economic ties, which brings mutual benefits and contributes to the development of both economies.
