BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. Iran's Khouzestan Steel Company will invest 100 million euros on the second phase of a 600-megawatt solar power plant, Executive Director of Iran's Khuzestan Steel Company Amin Ebrahimi told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, following the completion of work on the second phase of the solar power plant, 200 megawatt hours of electricity will be added to production. It is expected that the second phase of work will be completed within 24 months.
Ebrahimi pointed out that the solar power plant, set to generate
a total of 600 megawatt hours of electricity, is on track for
completion by the end of 2026.
The official mentioned that the first phase of this plant kicked
off in November (2024) and is now 9 percent done. The first phase
is set to wrap up by summer this year.
To note, Iran's current electricity generation potential of renewable energy power plants is about 1,520 megawatts. It is planned that this figure will be increased to 1,800 megawatts by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2025).
